Why using fuel filters?

Clear fuel is the key to comfortable and reliable functioning of the vehicle. Fuel, passing through the pump and filter, enters the injection system, and then, mixing with air, froms a working mixture, which is the source of energy and movement of the car. In case of broken filtration system, water and dirt cause serious damage to the vehicle, which results in:
- premature wear of the injection system;
- rusting of all details which contact with fuel
;
- clogging of the fuel system;
- increasing of fuel consumption;
- drop of engine power.

How much dirt does our fuel contain?
In accordance with the Russian standards, the acceptable value of purity of fuel is from 100 to 450 grams of impurities per 1 ton of fuel, whereas the ton of fuel sold in Germany contains less than 10 gramms of impurities. The biggest part of impuruties is formed by small particles of sand, scale and rust. Judging from OUR own experience, after running 5000 km on our roads, the fuel filter can collect about 50 grams of dirt. If this amount of dirt got into the combustion chamber, it would lead to premature wear of the engine.

Fuel filters requirements:
High level of fuel filtration from mechanical admixtures from 3 to 15 microns depending on the type of engine
The function of water separation
High dirt-holding capacity
Hermetically sealed, resistant to agressive media
Low hydraulic resistance, which does not block fuel flow.

The company "Orion" suggests a wide range of fuel filters, which can be installed on all types of petrol and diesel vehicles.
