Operation principle of the flow meter
The operation principle of the flow meters, produced by AquaMetro, is based on the ring piston. The main features of this measuring principle are a wide measurement range, high accuracy, effective operation at high viscosity of the environment, independence from power sources. Besides, these meters are resistant to turbulance in the fuel flow. The ring piston, roller and clamp are the only movable parts which are situated in the liquid. Hydraulic part and a mechanical roller counter are absolutely separate parts. Transfmission of the information through a closed cover is carried out by means of a magnetic coupling.

Liquid goes through inlet Е to the internal part of the piston, making it rotate. |

The volume of the liquid in the measuring chamber outside the piston (on the right) is pushed out by the piston and goes through the outlet А. The liquid also keeps flowing in through the inlet Е into the part of the chamber outside the piston (on the left). |

The inner volume of the piston is isolated from both openings E and A. The liquid, flowing through the opening E to the internal part, moves the piston forward. |

The volume of liquid inside the piston flows out through the opening А. |
